The design of the PML Dana 25, 27, 30 differential cover works with a variety of applications.
Benefits:
- Two fill/level check holes at proper levels to accommodate reverse or high pinion models
- Fins and cast aluminum construction for cooling
- Thick walls
- Drain hole and magnetic plug to simplify maintenance
- Follows stock cover profile to maintain clearance on most vehicles
Applications:
These vehicles frequently use the Dana 25, 27, 30 differential:
- Front differentials on Jeeps from 1941 to present
- Front differentials on Ford Explorer from 1991 to present
- Front differentials on Scouts from 1960 to 1974
- Rear differentials on Scouts from 1960 to 1967
- Front differentials on pre-1970 Broncos.
Always check your vehicles to verify differential and space available for a larger cover. Many of the above vehicles can use this PML cover but configurations vary.
Check your stock set up to make sure you have a Dana 25, 27, 30. When checking clearance for a larger cover, check with steering at both limits and at the limits of the suspension. This is a popular front axle on many vehicles but not all have space for a larger, aftermarket cover.
Fill Holes
There are two fill/level check holes on this PML differential cover. This is to accommodate the proper fluid level needed for both the reverse and high pinion models.
Use the fill hole that corresponds to the fill hole on your stock cover.
The fill holes are on the front of the cover at the same heights as on the stock covers.
Drain Hole
This PML differential cover has a drain hole on the bottom. A magnetic drain plug is included with the cover.
A drain hole makes for easier servicing of the differential without having to remove the cover.
Included with Differential Cover
PML provides new mounting bolts, fill plugs, and a magnetic drain plug with each cover.
This cover does not have a location for machining for an aftermarket temperature sending unit.
