The Nissan 7 Speed Transmission RE7R01A, RE7R01B (Jatco JR710E, JR711E) is used in Nissan and Infiniti cars, trucks and SUVs in the US and internationally.

Typical applications include Titan, Frontier, Navara, and Patrol. Some sedans, such as G37 and Q50, may not have space for a larger transmission pan. Check ground clearance and contact us.

Benefits:

  • Extra capacity
  • Finned for cooling
  • Heavy duty, thick wall construction for strength
  • Machined flat gasket sealing surface for a secure seal
  • Location for optional temperture sending unit machining
  • Drain and magnetic drain plug included

Applications:

PML designed this transmission pan for trucks and SUVs with the Nissan 7 speed RE7R01A, RE7R01B transmission. Here are some examples of vehicles that may be able to use this pan:

  • 2015 to 2021 Titan 5.6 Gas Engine
  • 2017 to 2020 Armada
  • 2008 to 2020 Navara
  • 2010 t0 2020 Patrol, Patrol Safari
  • 2009 to 2011 Z (may need less deep pan)
  • 2009/2010 and newer Infiniti SUVs, such as QX80 and QX56 (2009 to 2011 were transition years)
  • 2009/2010 and newer Infiniti cars, such as the G37 (may need less deep pan)

Vehicle configurations vary. Always verify transmission and check for clearance.

This is a partial list. Some Pathfinder and NV may also have this 7 speed transmission.

US Frontier trucks probably have the 5 speed transmission until 2019 and then the 9 speed in 2020 and newer models. Titan trucks transitioned to the 9 speed around 2021 or 2022.

For a 9 Speed Transmission Pan, see PML Part Number 11188.

For a 5 Speed Transmission Pan, see PML Part Number 11037 or PML Part Number 11101.

For coupes and sedans, such as G37, Q50 and Q60, check ground clearance. If there is enough demand, PML can make a less deep pan for these vehicles.

Inside of PML Pan

On the inside of the pan, the level check hole has a boss that is higher than the flange surface. This duplicates the level check on the OEM stock pan.

PML adjusts the level check boss for accuracy. The top of the boss may be machined or may have material welded onto it. This way, the top of the level check boss is at the same distance from the flange surface on the PML pan and the OEM pan.

Drain and Level Check

Drain hole is on the left side of the vehicle and on the side at the bottom of the pan for complete draining. A magnetic drain plug is included.

Level check hole is on the front corner, left side of the vehicle, similar to the stock pan. Fluid level checking is done the same way with the PML pan as with the stock pan.

  • Second image shows cast finish pan, no plugs are installed in holes
  • Third image show the level check distance above the flange on the PML pan
  • Fourth image shows the level check distance above the flange on the OEM pan

The level check tube is the same distance above the flange on the PML pan as with the stock pan. So checking the transmission fluid level is the same with the PML pan as with the stock pan.

PML includes a magnetic drain plug with copper sealing washer, fill hole plug, and new bolts and washers with each RE7R01A, RE7R01B transmission pan.

Optional Temperature Sensor Machining

Optionally, PML can drill and tap a 1/8 NPT hole for a temperature sending unit. This would be for an aftermarket temperature gage. There is a custom machining charge.

Select the option before adding pan to cart. A plug for the hole is included.

The standard size is 1/8 NPT. Check your aftermarket gage to verify the thread specifications for the sending unit before ordering. Call or email if you need a different size.

The location is a boss near the bottom of the pan on the right side of the vehicle.

Rear of PML Pan and Frame Cross Members

At the rear of this PML transmission pan, the pan is about 1.4 inches deep for 4.5 inches from the flange edge toward the front of the pan. This should clear the frame on most applications. See the dimensions for this pan.
